All participants, partners and friends are encouraged to attend this function, as it is a fun and fitting finale to the week’s competition. Pink and Blue Thursday In addition to running the relays on Thursday we will be holding a pink and blue day to raise awareness for breast cancer and prostate cancer. We are asking all the women to wear something pink and the men something blue for the day (not necessarily bathers perhaps a t'shirt). The Games media will be on hand this day to take photos of us all in our Pink and Blue. Please come and join in the fun and show your support for these two worthy causes. Saturday Morning Walk (16th October) For those of you swimmers who have not had enough exercise during the week and not competing in the Triathlon, we will be organising a walk up our local Mt Gillen. The summit of Mt Gillen offers fantastic panarama views of Alice Springs and surrounding landscape. A camera is a must. This walk is a medium to hard level walk. You will need to ensure that you bring sturdy walking shoes/ boots, hat, sunsceen and water bottle. The walk takes approximately 3hrs return. We will be departing from Flynn's Grave on Larapinta Drive at 7am sharp. You are all welcome to join us if your fitness level allows. It the weather becomes too hot, the walk will be cancelled. |
