Australian swimming legend Dawn Fraser is the Patron of the Alice Springs Masters Games. Dawn has been involved in the Games since its inception in 1985, when she played a key role on the committee that worked to make the first Games a reality. Since that time, Dawn has attended all of the previous twelve Games, and will be back in 2010 once again as our very special Patron of 'The Friendly Games'.

A message from Dawn:

As an athlete who has competed at every level, I can say with confidence that the Alice Springs Masters Games symbolises what sport should be all about. I have visited several Masters Games across Australia – and competed in some as well – and I proudly say the Alice Springs Masters Games is the friendliest Masters Games in Australia.

I am proud to be Patron of the Alice Springs Masters Games and I am looking forward to returning to Alice Springs when the Games begin on 9 October 2010.

Whether you're a champion or a regular competitor, please join me in the spirit of fun and friendship that is part of the Alice Springs Masters Games. Even if you are a late starter, take part in a sport and I’m sure you will realise that there is a place for all of us to be a part of the Alice Springs Masters Games.

I will be in Alice Springs in October 2010 and I look forward to seeing you then.

The Gapview Hotel at 123 Gap Road have a large campground available for anyone seeking accommodation for the Alice Springs Masters Games.

The campground facilities include mens and ladies toilet/shower block and large laundry. Lunch and Dinner is available 7 days per week.
