This provides you with a guide to the Alice Springs Masters Games 2010 Archery Competition and gives a brief overview of our club. As shooter numbers and more information are available we will endeavour to update this page. The Dead Centre Bowhunters Club thanks all volunteers for their efforts in organising what is set to be an exciting week of archery competition. Good luck to all competitors, and enjoy the 2010 Friendly Games. Venue The Dead Centre Bowhunters Club grounds are situated off Ilparpa Road. Travel South of Alice Springs town past Tom Brown Roundabout, through The Gap and take the second turn right over the railway line. This is Ilparpa Road. Travel approximately 7.5 kms to a turn-off on your left. This becomes a dirt road and leads to a grid with a sign “private access” (this includes the club!). The route is signposted from here. There is a Google map at the Location link on the Club site www.deadcentrebowhunters.org Please keep your speed down below 40km/hr to avoid corrugating the track. The parking area is just past the clubhouse and practise range. Facilities There is some bush camping available for the Games, and anyone who is considering camping will need to contact us, preferably by email, to organise a site. There will be a charge per site per night. With limited ablution facilities we may be forced to limit the number of campers, so don’t just turn up and expect a space, let us know first! Our club will have a limited breakfast from 7am and snacks and light meals will also be available. Again please let us know what your meal requirements will be. We have a large practise range set up for both ABA and IFAA distances. There is shade available. There are two ABA ranges and 2 IFAA ranges, one of each on relatively flat ground and the other on hilly ground. There is also one challenging 3D range. Emergency Assembly Point In the event of an emergency, our Emergency Assembly Point will be located on the practise range. Transport A free bus service will operate for the duration of the Games for registered participants running between the various accommodation venues and return. To use the free bus service you are requested to make bookings between 8:00am and 6:00pm one day prior to the event. Bookings can be made by calling 1800 4 UR BUS (1800487 287) Results Results will be on display at the clubhouse as well as at the Games Centre and online at www.alicespringsmasters.com.au Sports Medicine Sports medicine personnel and facilities will be provided for all competitors and details will be printed in your souvenir programs.
