All welcome. Venue Basketball is situated right in the hub of the Games action at Traeger Park alongside the ASMG Clinic, and all you need is at your finger tips. Take the time out to enjoy some of the action with other sports like hockey, squash, tennis, athletics, track and field and swimming. Other facilities that are close by are the Alice Springs Hospital, Oasis All Season Resort, White Gums Motel, Annie's Place and let's not forget it is a 5 minute walk to the CBD. The stadium will be open from 8:00am each day and will close at 1:00am (depending on the completion of the last game). The office will be open from 8:30am to 5:00pm daily (Sports Coordinators will be around for most of the day/night). The bar area will be open from Midday each day for icy cold ales and refreshments, come and see our friendly bar staff and put your feet up in air-conditioned comfort. Canteen facilities will also be opened each day with a variety of salads, sandwiches, fruit, munchies, tea, coffee and cold drinks. Each morning from 9:00am there will be a BBQ which will make bacon & egg sandwiches. This is a fundraising event for our clubs associated with Alice Springs Basketball Association who are raising funds to send our Juniors away interstate to participate in interstate carnivals and championships. Parking Parking is available behind the stadium and if people use the parking in front of the stadium please remember it is a school area and needs to be clear at 2:45pm to allow parents to collect their children from school. Sports Medicine A Sports Medicine are will be set up at the stadium and voluntary qualified Sport’s Trainers will be at the stadium during playing hours but they will only treat game related injuries. Taping can be provided depending of volunteers availability and dealing with injuries. All injured players are expected to provide their own strapping tape but you will be able to purchase tape at the stadium. We also request that you bring your current Medicare card with you if you need to visit a professional during the games. Ice will be available throughout the days free of charge. Please take advantage of their knowledge as their bodies are taking a heavy toll over the course of the week. Transport A free bus service will operate for the duration of the Games for registered participants running between the various accommodation venues and return. To use the free bus service you are requested to make bookings between 8:00am and 6:00pm one day prior to the event.
